Lutezia Serving Fish Knife - 25 cm Length - Handcrafted in Italy - Pewter
The Lutezia Serving Fish Knife, with its distinctive shape, featuring a wide blade with a dull edge and point, allows the user to pull the fish skin away without ripping, and to provide extra help for lifting bones away from the body and onto the side of the plate.
It is ideally paired with the Lutezia Fish Serving Fork to assist manipulating the fish on the plate for serving.
Handcrafted by Italian artisans, the serving fish knife perfectly complements the Lutezia dinner service, especially the Lutezia fish and knife fork sets for place settings.
The Lutezia range of flatware and serving ware is inspired by ancient Rome, in fact Lutezia is the Roman name for Paris. The pewter handles take the form of double or bow-shaped balusters, a design that features prominently in Roman silverware, such as handmirrors, spoons, forceps and other utensils from the 2nd Century BC, as well as within architecture, where marble columns and bas-reliefs were carved as balusters. There are further Roman touches to the handles, including the anthemia or palmette-styled decorated terminals or handle tips, as well as fluted frieze-style decorated handle necks; both very popular styles in Roman art and architecture. The classic style of the cutlery, with its exquisite and elegant design, adds sophistication to any table setting, formal or informal.
