Sometimes called the 'service' plate, like its 'brothers' - the dinner and dessert plates - it can be used in a variety of ways; if the meal is formal, it can be used as a base plate to different courses and a point of reference to other complementing pieces within the Convivio range; it can also be used as a dinner plate for those with eyes possibly larger than their bellies, as well as a platter for snacking and sharing.
As with all the Convivio range, it can be as fussy or as relaxed as you fancy. The Convivio range is the result of an evolution in design, culminating in the clever merging of materials into a single product, utilising the natural characteristics of both pewter and ceramic; the execution of which is much more complicated than the elegant simplicity of the design concept.
