Art Nouveau-Style Donna Dressing Table Vanity Mirror - 36.5 cm x 27 cm - Handcrafted in Italy - Pewter/Britannia Metal
Art Nouveau-style Donna dressing table vanity mirror in a rectangular frame of plant and figural form. A partially clad maiden, depicted from the rear, is looking towards the bevelled mirror plate. Her long robe flows down to form the lower frame, whilst she holds onto the branch of a dogwood tree. The frame is further embellished with flower and bud motifs. The base is cast with two bracket feet.
This item is a reproduction of model no. 131 from WMF’s original “The Art Nouveau Domestic Metalwork Catalogue” dated 1906, as illustrated within our image collection. It was originally entitled: ‘Toilet Mirror’.
