The traditional exterior hides a modern twist - a contemporary plastic insert cleverly concealed within the pewter shell to chill of the bottle of wine.
Simply place the insert in the freezer for 4-6 hours prior to use, then place the frozen insert inside the pewter shell, and put your beverage of choice inside the cooler.
A warm bottle of wine placed in a fully frozen insert will be chilled to 12°C (55°F) in 30 minutes. The insert will not allow the wine to chill below 5.5°C (42°F). In an ambient temperature if 24°C (72°F) a bottle of wine will remain chilled for 4 hours.
The contents of the cooler insert is a non-toxic, water-based gel. Spare inserts are available - for longer gatherings we recommend keeping a spare insert in the freezer.
