Art Nouveau-style centrepiece fruit stand modelled as a tazza, or shallow dish, decorated with berries and stems, placed above a full figural young maiden holding an urn above her head, with a boy playing at her feet. The maiden’s gown sinuously flares outwards towards the base, which stands on four feet.
This item is a reproduction of model no. 140/c from WMF’s original “The Art Nouveau Domestic Metalwork Catalogue” dated 1906, as illustrated within our image collection. It was originally entitled: ‘Fruit Stand’. Depicts maiden with boy on right.
