Art Nouveau-style quadruple fruit or sweet dish, in a quatrefoil shape, depicting a beautiful, languidly posing, young maiden, in a long loose-fitting tunic, organically emerging from the centre of four polished, lobed dishes. The dish could hold, fruit, sweets or even jewellery on a dressing table.
This item is a reproduction of model no. 169/4 from WMF’s original “The Art Nouveau Domestic Metalwork Catalogue” dated 1906, as illustrated within our image collection. It was originally entitled: ‘Quadruple Fruit or Sweet Dish’.
