This small pewter milk jug, or creamer, is of modest proportions, making it ideal for serving cream for coffee drinkers or milk for small tea-parties.
Milk suits full-bodied black teas, like English Breakfast and Irish Breakfast, whilst more delicate black teas, such as Earl Grey, can be served either with milk, plain, or with lemon. It is generally accepted, although it always seems to cause discussion, that milk should always be added after the tea is poured, to enable one to judge the strength of the brew. Cream is never so complicated - add to coffee, swirling as you go!
