Art Nouveau-style Donna jewellery tray in figural and plant form. The tray depicts a young maiden reclining on the edge of a lily pond, wearing a long halter neck gown sensuously draped over her body, the hem of which flows into the sinuously undulating rim. The surface and edges of the tray are embellished with lily leaf and flower motifs.
This item is a reproduction of model no. 229 from WMF’s original “The Art Nouveau Domestic Metalwork Catalogue” dated 1906, as illustrated within our image collection. It was originally entitled: ‘Toilet Table Tray’.
