This pewter and ceramic milk jug, in white, is part of the Convivio range of tableware, all handcrafted by Italian craftsmen to create a special fusion of smooth pewter and crisp ceramic.
This pretty little milk jug looks great amongst other tea & coffee pieces, making a relaxed, yet at the same time, substantial tea set.
Milk suits full-bodied black teas, like English Breakfast and Irish Breakfast, whilst more delicate black teas, such as Earl Grey, can be served either with milk, plain, or with lemon. It is generally accepted, although it always seems to cause discussion, that milk should always be added after the tea is poured, to enable one to judge the strength of the brew.
The Convivio range is the result of an evolution in design, culminating in the clever merging of materials into a single product, utilising the natural characteristics of both pewter and ceramic; the execution of which is much more complicated than the elegant simplicity of the design concept.
